I really hate “bulking” and “cutting”
so many people split their whole life and training around it and it just seems assbackwards to me.
Personally, I’m more of a fan of Strength and Conditioning. Where you do a few cycles to build up your strength and set a strong foundation for your conditioning phase if you so choose to do it. Because the way most people bulk and cut blows my mind and half those people wonder why it takes them YEARS to gain strength, size, or look lean.
I do think that sometimes the ‘bulk’ can apply through making a conscious effort to gain LARGE quantities of weight irrespective of fat/muscle content. I did this to move up to heavyweight in a short time span.
But constantly doing this.. I question it. If you eat well and train properly the average person doesn’t need the bulk/cut phase imo, if you are heading into a bodybuilding competition„ then perhaps it would apply, but I also think it is odd to build your entire cycle around the bulk/cut philosophy. Perhaps I am just someone that can’t do it though.

Found the top pics at my parents from when I was sick. I would tan every day, weigh countless times a day, dye my hair…I just looked so different. Looking at it now I just look so sick. This wasn’t even the height of it. Don’t miss it. Not one bit. The next two are from yesterday. I prefer that.
